You will need the white Ethernet Dongle that came with the dobby.   It has a USB connection on one side and an Ethernet port on the other.  You will also need your serial number.   It is on a sticker on the side where the solenoids protrude, between the dobby and loom.

You will need an Ethernet cable that plugs directly into your router.   If the cable is long enough and your router is close enough to your loom, stretch the ethernet cord to your loom.    If not, remove the dobby from your loom and move it (along with power cords), closer to your router.

Plug the ethernet dongle into the Ethernet cord and plug the other end into one of the USB ports.

The dobby will now reboot and once complete, it will display a new IP address.  (10.42.0.1) will be replaced by something assigned by your router – it will start with either 192.XXX.XXX.XXX or 172.XXX.XXX.XXX

When you see this new IP address, email me (dave@louet.com) that you are connected AND include your serial number.
