    Improvements of the David III:

    1. It has a sturdier frame: the front posts, the main uprights and the foot rail are 27 mm thick (was 21 mm).

    2. Standing beater, with a hinge point close to the floor, the result is smooth movement and a favorable pivot radius to strike the fell line.

    3. The hinge hooks of the beater are mounted on the loom and not on the beater uprights.  This makes it easier to remove and replace the beater.

    4. The warp beam and the cloth beam have a larger diameter.   This requires fewer revolutions to wind your warp beam and therefore less tension discrepancies in the warp threads. The sectional warp kit now has space for 4 bars that attach to the warp beam, instead of 3. This improves assembly and function.

    5. We have added a new cloth beam advance lever. It has a magnet that holds the pawl in the ratchet wheel, allowing you to advance more fabric with one movement of the handle.

    6. The breast beam has countersunk holes to make it easier to mount the beam on the front posts.

    7. The tie-up cords for the treadles are permanently connected to the lams and can be moved above the treadles where you need them. The screw heads on the treadles are slightly smaller, making it easier to hook on the cords.

    8. The tension brake on the warp beam is no longer an accessory, but standard. The brake disc is much larger and is now also a crank handle with which you can wind on your warp. The handle rotates in the disc, not in your hand.

    9. You can now adjust the shaft height with a knurled nut and the horizontal adjustment with a screw. Therefore the small texsolv pins in the cords are no longer needed.

    10. Folding the David is easier and there are no loose parts that can get lost.

    11. We include t
wo wooden raddle covers that you can slide over the raddle.   These are useful for inserting the warp threads into the raddle and then they close the raddle when winding on your warp.

    12.
Two side clamps are included and useful when setting up and threading the warp.

    13. In addition to the assembly instructions, there are instructions on how to dress the loom.

    The New spring II loom

Spring is a countermarche loom available in 90 cm (35 3/8") and 110 cm (43 1/4") weaving width.   The loom can be ordered with eight or twelve harnesses.   The warp beam is held by a friction brake, enabling you to advance the fabric sitting at your loom.   The beater is adjustable in height. the Spring is made of lacquered beech and the design of the loom includes a built-in raddle on top of the castle and a storage shelf as well as the following included items:

    • a stainless steel reed 40-10 (metric)
    • 800/1200 Texsolv heddles (392 mm)
    • tie-up and lease sticks
    • sixteen warp sticks.

Louet Continues to innovate and improve our products.   The Spring and Delta looms have long had a challenge when trying to change heddles (add or remove).   The new click lock system allows a user to easily add and remove heddles.   These are standard on all Spring and Delta looms.   We also offer a conversion kit for older Spring looms.

    Spring II Improvements

The Spring II was launched in Dec 2020.   The following improvements were made to the original Spring

Louët is always innovating, dedicated to bringing you the most comfortable, enjoyable weaving experience. We have updated one of our most popular looms.

The new Spring II has the following improvements:

The new Spring II makes the weaving action even more ergonomic and comfortable:

    • You can advance more fabric in one movement of the handle, due to a new magnet.

    • The brake disc of the warp beam acts as a crank, with a handle that turns in the disk.

    • The shafts move more easily, as rollers with ball bearings have replaced the nylon rollers.

    • The beater movement has a larger radius and improved arc due to longer uprights and a lowered hinge point.

    • Clamps that aid in warping the loom, as well as warping instructions, are now included.

The new Spring II has features that makes your loom easier to use and customize:

    • The shaft bars can be easily clicked in and out of hooks that remain fastened to the cords, allowing you to easily add or remove heddles. This design also prevents you from inadvertently reattaching the shaft bars to the cords in the incorrect place. The shaft bars are also easier to reach due to smaller middle posts and modified main upright shaping.

    • The warp beam now has room for 4 sectional warp rails (compared to 3), which are also easier to attach if you expand your loom.

    Dimensios (wxdxh):

    • Spring 90 - 125 x 94 x 116 cm (48" x 37" x 45 1/2")
    • Spring 110 - 145 x 94 x 116 cm (55" x 37" x 45 1/2")

    Cont’d

    • The shafts have more space for extra heddles.

    • It is easier to take the beater on and off the loom, as the hinge hooks of the beater are mounted on the loom.

    • Attaching the top beater rail is easier, due to screw knobs.

    • Inserting warp yarns into the raddle is easier and the yarns will not come out while beaming the warp onto the warp beam, due to the addition of two wooden strips that can slide over (and cover) the raddle.

    • It is easier to hook on and attach the tie-up cords, due to more space between the upper lams and the lower shaft bar as well as smaller screw heads on the treadles.

    • The cords of the warp tension device can no longer run off the rollers as they now pass through two eyelets.

    • Securing the back beam section is easier. And when folded, there are no loose parts to remove or potentially lose.

The new Spring II has improved construction and aesthetics, allowing easier assembly:

    • Overall sturdier frame with new front posts and thicker main uprights and foot rail.

    • The warp beam and cloth beam are now made of wood and are a larger diameter, the redesign in this section now allows for easier assembly.

    • Heavier ratchet wheel and ratchet, ideal for weaving carpets.

    • Easier to place the new countersunk holes onto the floating breast beam arms.

    • A more attractive look on the hinged connection of the floating breast beam arms to the front posts, due to a less visible connecting bolt.

    • Loom is now packaged in a more compact way, cleverly designed to expand and assemble. All boxes ship with courier, so no freight transport is needed. All shafts and cords continue to be pre- strung.

    The delta loom

Delta is a comfortable and solid loom with all the innovations that make Louët products famous. The Delta uses the Louët parallel counter march system and the moving breast beam. The springy tie-up device on the treadle gives a progressive shed. This means the shed widens gradually towards the back harnesses so that the warp threads, above and below, always are on even levels.

The treadles hinge on the backside of the loom, so they treadle light. The loom is equipped with a friction brake device on the warp beam and a convenient advancing system on the cloth beam. It is available with eight or twelve harnesses and in two weaving widths: 110 cm (43 1/4′′) and 130 cm (51 1/4′′).

Delta is made of lacquered ash and comes with the castle section assembled. The loom is equipped with a built-in raddle, a shelf for storage, a stainless steel reed 40-10 (10 dpi), 1200/1400 Texsolv heddles (330 mm), tie-up and lease sticks and sixteen warp sticks.

The castle section of the loom with the parallel countermarch cords, shafts and lams comes pre-assembled.
